The classic cult movie “Blues Brothers” celebrates 44 since its original release in 1980. The musical movie tells the tale of Jake Blues and his brother Elwood renuite their old blues band following a release from prison to save the Catholic home where the two were raised.

The brothers are on a “Mission from God” and outrun the police as they ear through Chicago. Here in Dublin the “Blooze Brothers” 11 piece band play in Ivy Church (St Columba’s Church – Church of Ireland, Waterloo Avenue, North Strand Road, Dublin 3 on Saturday 18th of May for one night only.

From the northside of Dublin via downtown Chicago, this 11 piece band featuring Jake and Elwood Blooze and accompanied by the amazing Soul Sisters play all the hits of the Soundtrack of the iconic Blues Brothers Movie plus a few surprises. We guarantee a fantastic night out for music and party lovers of all generations.

The band has become a staple of the Irish music scene, playing sold-out shows at some of the country’s most iconic venues. They have toured extensively throughout Europe bringing their electrifying live show to audiences across the continent.

The church has had a flurry of gigs in the last few months in a bid to raise funds to replace the roof on the building which was damaged in the North Strand Bombings of 1941.

No alcohol will be on sale but nearby pubs are Annesley House, Cusacks and Clonliffe House
