We’re throwing a Mad March Hare Poitín Party and you’re all invited.
Award-winning drinks writer Oisín Davis will be hosting proceedings and it’s going to be all about the cocktails. Guests will be treated to three cocktails on the night – the Belfast Coffee, Poitín Paloma and the Poitín Punch. As well as rolling out an interactive demo with everyone so that you can all learn how to make the cocktails, Oisin will also be hosting a poitín pop quiz with some great prizes to share!
After being banned by the British in 1661, poitín was finally made legal again in 1997. In more recent years, some of Ireland’s best cocktail bars have embraced poitín and it is now seeing a huge renaissance. As the world’s leading poitín brand, Mad March Hare is leading that charge. It is crafted with local malted and unmalted barley in West Cork and distilled in small copper pot stills, making it exceptionally smooth, capturing the true spirit of Ireland in every drop.
