Taking the magic and passion of recent main stage outdoor celebrations of his music, people’s songwriter, Jamie Webster announces a UK & Ireland Winter 2024 Tour, including three, newly announced arena appearances in Hull, Cardiff and Glasgow. Growing tour-by-tour into an undisputed spokesperson for a generation of switched-on, socially-minded music lovers, the Liverpool folk hero’s popularity from north to south and east to west takes him across the Irish Sea to Belfast and Dublin before returning for six wild nights closer to home.
All tour dates, including huge shows at Hull’s Bonus Arena, Cardiff’s Utilita Arena and Glasgow’s OVO Hydro Arena go on general sale to fans at 10am this Friday 19 July 2024.
Unafraid to shame the devil when it comes to singing truth to power and putting working class lives at the forefront of all three of his Top Ten albums, including this year’s No.2 hit, 10 For The People, Websters past month of highs have included wowing The Other Stage at Glastonbury and scaling the stage at Sefton Park, Liverpool for the biggest show of his career to date. Choosing his own soundtrack to meeting those milestones with overwhelming public support behind him, he released his first new music of 2024, Breadline, just last week.
Fans can expect songs old and new, including his recently BRIT Silver Certified modern folk classic, Weekend In Paradise, to be in the set list as Webster prepares to play some of the biggest shows away from his home city.
In addition to his chart and streaming successes, hitting the UK Official Album Chart Top Three with both his second album, Moments (2022) and most recent collection, We Get By (2024) Webster’s gigs have grown to become major events around the UK. In addition to his hometown shows, whether a sell-out at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena or two, 12,000-capacity shows on the city’s iconic Pier Head last summer, he also has packed out major venues nationwide, from London’s Roundhouse to Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom and Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse.
An artist of growing international renown, Webster also prepares for some of his biggest European shows to date, opening a five-date run from Sat 26 Oct at Hamburg, Logo, alongside his debut Australian tour dates, taking in four venues down under, opening at Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Thu 5 Dec.
