Foggy Notions & U:Mack Present: Subhumans

The Subhumans are a DIY anarcho-punk 4-piece from Wiltshire who in the 80s were redefining the musical boundaries of punk rock with their numerous EPs and albums, including the classic ‘The Day the Country Died’, and ‘From the Cradle to the Grave’, [which included a 16-minute song of that name], blending hard and fast with curve-ball dynamics in the music, and a socio-political lyrical outlook that spurned the obvious and questioned everything.

Splitting in 86, they reformed in 98, and took up where they left off, incessantly touring with
the original line-up. Two more albums have since been released, the latest being ‘Crisis Point’ [2019] on Pirates Press Records, who in 2023 re-released their entire back catalogue, as well as a box set of their 80’s albums. Their energies undiminished, they are a cracking live experience
