How did Japanese Whisky become so good?
We all know Yamamori for their pioneering work in bringing the taste of Japan to Ireland. They’ve been in business nearly 25 years and have been delighting our tastebuds with sushi, noodles and plenty more besides ever since. Their latest venture is into the fascinating world of Japanese whisky.
Since winning several world whisky awards including ‘worlds best single malt’ (2018) and ‘worlds best blended malt’ (2016 & 2017) the increase in popularity of Japanese Whisky has been huge.
Wood-aged, sometimes in American oak, sometimes in Sherry casks, and sometimes in Japanese Mizunara oak, which imparts unique characteristics Drawing the most curious whisky lovers to experience the taste from the rich, sweet, and slightly smoky to a citrus and spicy flavour.
With distilleries located in very special locations such as the foot of the famous Mouth Fuji and Mount Tennozan, the waters used in the process are both unique in softness and purity, made possible by the filtration of rain and snow through ancient granite rocks.
The new Whisky bar at Yamamori Sushi is stocked with an extensive selection of some of the worlds most sought after bottles, allowing customers enjoy single servings of their choice and draw comparisons between the different flavours and regions.
In true Yamamori fashion there will complementary sushi and a welcome drink on arrival and the best in entertainment with Soul Fusion Dj, Mr Niall Comiskey bringing his record collection to the party so expect choice selection of Jazz, Soul, Rnb, and Disco’.
