Massive shoutout to the amazing and inspiring women of #DublinTown and to all the women out there, Happy #InternationalWomensDay!
Ruth Ni Loinsigh of Om Diva
Om Diva is all about Irish fashion! You will find everything from funky outfits to vintage pieces. This boutique is every fashionista’s treasure trove! There are unique pieces, jewellery and accessories across two floors and a lot of pink!
Eva Pau of Asia Market
Asia Market opened their doors on Drury Street in what was then the heart of Dublin’s rag-trade district. Howard Pau, who is today joined by his daughter Eva, has been supplying Asian restaurants with high quality and fresh ingredients all around Ireland for almost 40 years.
From your favourite sauces like soy and sweet chili, to hot bean paste, Asian confectionary, frozen gyoza as well as apparatus and utensils for cooking – the supermarket offers everything the budding home-chef could want. They even have a downstairs event space!
Gwen Layden of George’s Street Arcade
The unique George’s Street Arcade is Europe’s and Ireland’s oldest shopping centre, located in the heart of Dublin city centre.
There are approximately fifty tenants varying in size from Dunnes Stores to small stalls, selling everything from high fashion and accessories to trendy funky gear, from custom designed solid silver to costume jewellery, from hair-styling to fortune telling, and catering for lovers of music, art, books, speciality ornaments, memorabilia, stamps and coin collections, cafés, general groceries and speciality foods.
Gail Kinsella of Jenny Vander
Jenny Vander is by far one of the best vintage shops in Dublin City. Every customer will be transported back to a time where people got Dressed Up.
There are cases full of the most stunning and plentiful array of costume jewellery. There are lot of complete earring/bracelet/necklace sets which is really something special.
They also have lots of fun vintage hats and incredible bags. Not to mention the selection of apparel is beautiful; there is a focus on vintage and turn of the century apparel, but they do also carry lots of items from every decade.
