Wagamama have officially launched their full Vegan and Vegetarian Menu
Veganism is becoming more and more popular as time rolls on. People are becoming more and more conscious of the health of our planet and embracing a vegetarian/vegan/plant based diet as a result. Even if you substitute one meal of the week to a vegan replacement, you’re contributing to a healthier environment.
Wagamama have made that a whole lot easier with the announcement of their extensive Vegan and Vegetarian Menu. The menu features seven sides, a welcomed five of which are vegan. Some of our favourites are included as well as some new additions being featured.
We tried a little of each and let us tell you, the misconception that vegan food has to be dull and tasteless is completely refuted with this menu. The yasai gyoza (five tasty steamed dumplings, filled with vegetables, served grilled and with a dipping sauce) and the mixed mushroom and panko aubergine hirata steamed buns were a stand out. Wagamama’s edamame we feel is an essential order during any Wagamama trip, particularly the chilli garlic salt edamame.
For mains, Wagamama have introduced eleven vegetarian mains, an impressive eight of which are vegan. That’s an impressive selection to choose from. The yasai itame (rice noodles in a spicy green coconut and lemongrass soup with tofu and vegetables- topped with stir-fried beansprouts, red and spring onions, bok choi, peppers, mushrooms and chilli and garnished with coriander) and the yasai cha han donburi (tofu and vegetable stir-fried brown rice with mushrooms, mangetout, sweetcorn and spring onions served with a side of japanese pickles) were a favourite across the table.
They also have a selection of vegan beverages including vegan beer, wine and a range of vegan juices.
Wagamama is known for it’s friendly staff and it’s relaxed, casual atmosphere. The new addition of a full vegan menu makes it an even greater addition to the catalogue of restaurants in DublinTown.
