Stonechat Jewellers is an Irish contemporary jewellery shop, located in the Westbury Mall, Dublin 2, just off Grafton Street. Established by designer-goldsmith Ann Chapman in 2012, the idea is wonderfully simple – to combine traditional goldsmithing skills with pared back design to handcraft modern pieces of jewellery.
Since opening, Ann’s team has grown to 7 highly skilled goldsmiths, and customers can see them at work in the in-house workshop. Focussing on precious metals, diamonds and coloured gemstones, Stonechat Jewellers is renowned for excellent, knowledgeable customer service and unique designs. In addition to their collections, Stonechat Jewellers also showcases work by other Irish and European makers as well as offering bespoke and remodelling jewellery services.
The shop is named after a stonechat – a little-known Irish bird – which is a perfect example of understated beauty. This ethos is reflected in each of Ann’s pieces, as well as in her beautifully displayed shop where customers are welcome to try on jewellery and discuss design ideas with her and her team.
