Looks Review – Dublin Fashion Festival Launch Show

We had the most spectacular night at the Dublin Fashion Festival launch, where some of our retailers gave an insight into what is to come in the upcoming weeklong festival through some fabulous outfits.

This year’s themes were debuted on the night, which include Victorian, Boho, Coat, Queens and Princesses and last but not least, Shine! We witnessed looks from retailers such as Arnotts, Brown Thomas, Ilac Shopping Centre, Jervis Shopping Centre, Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre and the H&M Studio Collection, just to name a few! The looks were styled by Jules Fallon, stylist and Creative Director of Dublin Fashion Festival.

BROWN THOMAS

Brown Thomas chose looks from three of the themes of this year’s festival.

Brown-Thomas

First up, we have this chic Boho look by Chloé. Fringing is extremely on trend and this beautiful coat is a great example of what is going to be huge this Autumn/Winter. The clashing patterns in this wonderful dress worn underneath compliment the whole look and bring the Boho theme to life. The bag is the perfect accessory this look. Next up we had another look representing the Coat theme from Preen in Brown Thomas. Paired with a red Givenchy bag, this really makes the coloured stripes on the sleeves, zip and on the side of the legs pop. The collar on this coat is absolutely magnificent. The Shine theme was portrayed through this wonderful look by Sandro at Brown Thomas. It really glistened and glittered under the lights of City Hall giving this outfit a real wow factor.

DUNNES STORES

Two stunning looks from two themes of this year’s show were provided by Dunnes Stores.

With looks from Bershka, Stradivarius, New Look and Forever 21, Jervis Shopping Centre definitely displayed a cool array of boho looks. With hats, fringing and ponchos being popular within the boho trend this upcoming season, these looks definitely did not disappoint on the night. The patchwork pattern was also a popular choice coming from the retailers in Jervis Shopping Centre which can be seen in the looks from New Look Bershka and Stradivarius.

Next up we had another coat themed outfit, this time for the men! This stunning coat was by Barbour, teamed with clothes from Farah and topped off with these gorgeous Hugo Boss boots.

The last look from Arnotts on the night was this Princesses and Queens themed look by Goat. The bright bow collar pops out over the coat giving a burst of colour against the white coat, simply stunning! Joined by these Kurt Geiger Carvela platform heels and this Lulu Guinness bag, this look will certainly turn heads.
