A Happy H&M New Year
- Tue, 6 Jan 2015
So we wanted to wait until the new year kicked off to talk about all things H&M!
We are absolutely delighted to welcome the new H&M Flagship Store to DublinTown’s College Green, an area that was traditionally the center for banking in Dublin City but has now become a mini fashion hub with the likes of American Apparel, Abercrombie & Fitch, Superdry and H&M all within a stones throw of each-other.
Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M) have turned the former National Irish Bank Building into a stunning display of restored Georgian architecture and the finest array of Swedish inspired clothing collections we have seen in DublinTown to date.
It is great to see that Carlos Duarte, the Managing Director of H&M for the UK and Ireland, is keen to continue to expand their business here. It shows that they can see massive potential in the Irish retail market and that the retail giant and its sister stores Cos and “& Other Stories” are acknowledging that Irish people as a collective are making a mark on the fashion industry worldwide.
H&M have worked tirelessly with Clarendon Properties over the past twelve months to ensure that the building on College Green has been preserved in all its finery. The 25,000 sq ft outlet is amongst nine similarly designed outlets worldwide. It also boasts a shoe lounge and an extensive menswear section located in the basement adjacent to the beautifully preserved old bank vault. This really is a one stop shop for all things fashion in Dublin and their new range of Athletic Apparel is exactly what DublinTowners will need to kick start their 2015 fitness regimes…
Have a Happy H&M New Year…
