Global Açaí Group ‘Oakberry’ Today Announces Opening of Two New Dublin Locations Following

Oakberry, the global sensation in açaí bowls and smoothies, is thrilled to today announce the opening of two new Dublin stores within the next month – the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, opening November 8th and a second new Oakberry store will also open early next month in the Ilac Centre, Dublin 1. Following the unprecedented success of Oakberry’s Anne Street South store (just off Grafton Street) – which now boasts the highest sales of any Oakberry store in Europe and ranking in the top five globally – these new openings mark a major milestone in Oakberry’s Irish expansion. The group today also announced they are aiming to have 18-20 Oakberry stores open right across Ireland by the end of next year, as açai and ‘healthy fast dining’ demand surges here. The Oakberry brand now boasts over 700 stores globally, from London to L.A.

Behind their booming Irish success are three young Dublin-based entrepreneurs, Nick Twomey, Cian O’Donoghue, and Ben Mulligan, who took a bold risk by acquiring the Master Oakberry Franchise for Ireland. Their belief in Oakberry’s mission and the rapidly growing açaí market has driven them to build something special for the Irish market. With more people choosing plant-based, nutritious, and convenient meals, these young entrepreneurs saw the untapped potential and jumped at the opportunity to introduce Oakberry to Ireland, where the brand’s popularity has since soared.

When asked to describe exactly what an açaí bowl is (for those few of us left who are not already huge fans) Co-owner Ben Mulligan says:

“Oakberry’s açai recipe is natural and organic, gluten-free, vegan and free of artificial preservatives, food colourings and syrups. We then build this with natural and healthy toppings such as 100% peanut butter, fruits, seeds, etc”.

“As delicious as they are, there are also amazing health benefits. Which is why they are so globally associated with a healthy crowd. The açai pulp is a natural antioxidant that neutralises free radicals. It contains minerals like Potassium and Calcium, Vitamin E, healthy fats like Omega 6 and 9, and vegan proteins”.

Oakberry: The Only Ones ‘From Berry To Bowl’Oakberry’s açai bowls stand out not only for their taste and health benefits but also because Oakberry uniquely controls every step of the process, something no other competitor can say. From cultivating their own açaí berries in the heart of the Amazon rainforest to serving them in bowls topped with fresh, healthy ingredients – Oakberry is the only brand in the world with complete ownership of its supply chain, from berry to bowl. This ensures they only offer the highest quality, sustainability, and ensured Fairtrade standards.

The açaí market itself is booming, with the global demand growth rate for this superfruit predicted to surpass even that of the avocado within the next few years. Oakberry, leading the charge, is meeting the Irish appetite for healthy fast food options. The brand’s signature açai bowls are made with all-natural ingredients, free from artificial preservatives, syrups, and gluten – a perfect fit for today’s health-conscious consumer on the go.

The three young Dublin entrepreneurs’ gamble is already paying off. In just over a year, Oakberry has made a significant impact in Ireland, with their Anne Street store now already leading the pack in Europe, beating out sales from stores in capitals like London and Paris. This month, the Irish group will launch a new store in the Blanchardstown Centre on November 8th, followed swiftly by another opening in Henry Street’s Ilac Centre in early December. The two new openings will mark 7 stores now in Ireland and the three young Irish entrepreneurs aim to have 18-20 stores open by the end of 2025.

Oakberry Ireland is meeting growing consumer demand while creating jobs and supporting local economies. With ambitious plans for further expansion, including locations as far afield as Cork and Galway, Oakberry Ireland is just getting started.

“We knew we were taking a risk when we brought Oakberry to Ireland, but the response has been incredible,” said Nick Twomey, one of the co-owners. “The Anne Street store’s success showed us that Ireland is ready for a super healthy, more sustainable option when it comes to fast dining, and we’re proud to bring that to more communities across the country.”

“Our Anne St store is now the busiest Oakberry in Europe, surpassing stores in every city from London, to Barcelona, to Lisbon”, so it couldn’t be clearer that the Irish public are massively interested in super healthy yet complexly delicious meals to enjoy and grab on the go”.

“We know it also hugely helps how Instagrammable they are!” Nick added. Oakberry has over 700 stores worldwide, earning a reputation as a market leader in healthy, fast- dining. With partnerships in place with global names like the Haas F1 team and #1 tennis star Aryna Sabalenka, the brand continues to push boundaries. Its unique ability to tap into the health-conscious, on-the-go lifestyle has seen it flourish across continents, from Miami to Madrid – and now, Ireland is following suit. Açai bowls start from only €9. Follow Okaberry Ireland on Instagram now here.
