Golden Awards Statue takes up residence in EPIC ahead of the biggest awards ceremony of the year
Did you know that an Irish American designed the Oscar statuette? One of the most lauded art directors in American film history, Cedric Gibbons is today best known for designing the famous awards statue and winning 11 Academy Awards of his own for art direction – a category record that remains unsurpassed to this day.
To ramp up excitement in advance of the Oscars, from 8th March – 14th March, the CHQ building will be home to a larger than life awards statue – the perfect selfie partner!
EPIC are inviting Oscars fans to visit the CHQ building and view the impressive golden statuette, have their photo taken with it and learn more about Irish-American Academy Awards legend, Cedric Gibbons. EPIC has also added a number of special ‘Hollywood’ tours for the month of March, details of which can be found below:
