DublinTown members win BIG at the Image Beauty Awards 2017

Dubbed as Ireland’s hair and beauty Oscars, the highly anticipated Image Business of Beauty Awards took place this weekend.
With the Clayton Hotel as host, the event crowned the winners of the best beauty therapists and hairdressers along with the country’s top hair salons, skin care brands and of course beauty brands. Whether it’s for a quick pick me up or an emergency beauty fix these Dublin beauty gurus are there when we need them most. In celebration, we thought we’d tip our hats and give a round of applause for the DublinTown ladies & gents who took home the trophies and did us proud!
Here are the DublinTown Business of Beauty winners of 2017:

A hefty title to win, Preen on Dame Street is a well deserved winner. Not just a hair salon, with Preen you can experience specials such as the ‘Ritual Room’ and indulge in the Preen shampoo ritual, incorporating the ancient art of Indian Head Massage. Best Brow Artist: CARA MACKEN, BROWN SUGAR
This gal has dual talents in the form of brows and makeup. Taking home the award for Best Brow Artist is another notch in this beauty guru’s belt. Brown Sugar are no stranger to winning awards and if you’ve ever visited it’s easy to see why. Recliners and massages while having your hair washed, champagne whilst your mascara is applied.. there’s a whole lot to love about Brown Sugar.
Best Hairstylist: DYLAN BRADSHAW
With a reputation as Ireland’s most influential figure in the hairdressing industry, Dylan Bradshaw bagging award as Best Hairstylist seemed a given! Backed by international success including styling for celebrities for the MTV Music Awards and publications such as Vogue UK, Vogue US, Rolling Stone and of course Image magazine. Located on South William Street Dylan Bradshaw offers a beauty experience like no other!
Most innovative skincare brand: NUXE IRELAND
Winning most innovative skincare brand was Nuxe Ireland. With a line of skin care products all free of mineral oils, parabens, anti- pore clogging and 80% naturally derived, it’s not hard to see why. The beauty brand is fast growing on the scene and ticks all of the boxes for those with sensitive skin in need of some tlc. The brains behind honey based products who use plant innovation, this is likely Nuxe’s first of many awards. Most innovative category launch: BENEFIT COSMETICS
A huge title for Benefit to take home, this win was no fluke. Constantly dishing out fast and fabulous beauty solutions since its inception in 1976, it has come a long way since its beginning as a small beauty boutique in San Francisco. Now a global brand, they’re famous for iconic products like They’re Real mascara, Gimme Brow eyebrow gel, Hoola matte bronzer and Benetint cheek stain.
Best Colourist: ANDREW DUNNE, MANE
No stranger to winning awards, Mane by Andrew Dunne took home the award for best colourist.
A bespoke salon in an amazing building, The Grooming Rooms on South William Street the fireplaces, high ceilings and beautiful Georgian windows create a backdrop like something out of a movie. With staff who have honed their craft to cater for every beauty need and a sense of professionalism and attention like no other, we solute you Mane!
Best Creative Talent in Hair: JOHN LOWRY, MANE
Taking home a second award in one night, high five to you Mane! Mane’s John Lowry was awarded for best creative talent in hair and if yo;ve been lucky enough to have had him as your colourist before you can see why! A salon that knows no bounds or limits when it comes to pushing the boundaries of hair colour, this is your go to when you’re next in need of a colour.
