Since last April, entrepreneurs from across Ireland have been applying for the exciting initiative Pitch ‘22 which called on budding Irish start-up companies and promising new brands to pitch for an opportunity to retail their product in Ireland’s iconic department store and online, with the chance of winning a €10,000 business development fund to grow their business. The five finalists come from across Ireland with products ranging from jewellery to organic skincare, all showcasing a range of creative entrepreneurial spirit and offering the ultimate Christmas gifts.
Brushdoc is a revolutionary tool that cleans makeup brushes and sponges in seconds, thanks to its advanced rotating technology that achieves a deep clean with minimal effort. Founded by fashion designers, Niamh Mooney and Ciara Stewart, Don’t Kill My Vibe is a jewellery brand consciously designed in Dublin; each piece is made from recycled brass base and fully plated with 14ct gold or sterling silver finish. Their collection showcases both statement and staple pieces that can be styled casually or for special occasions.
Co-founded by TV presenter Mairead Ronan and business partner Debbie Lawless, FARO’s range of award-winning brushes are lightweight, easy-to-use, smoothing, snag-free and suitable for all kinds of blow-dries. Kildare based Tanya Ryan of Fiadh & Finn creates a collection of beautiful original illustrations in traditional watercolours, depicting Irish animals, birds and plants, intended to be treasured keepsakes. Galway-based, Mervue Organic create organic skincare products containing plant botanicals and super fruit extracts, which are grown, harvested and processed organically, sustainably and ethically. The Mervue Organic product range includes skincare, body care and home fragrance products. The skincare range includes cream cleansers, super fruit moisturiser and hydrating floral mist. They also offer plant-based vegan-certified candles and diffusers.
