Witness the magic and wonder of a real life chocolate factory when you visit the Butlers Chocolate Experience for the ultimate chocolate discovery tour!
The DublinTown team were lucky enough to be invited to enjoy the Butlers Factory Tour and learn all about the history and origin of Butlers Chocolates. The experience really is a great family day out, perfect for kids and adults alike. They cater for groups of up to 80 making it a great birthday party, school tour, friends day out and much more. They even have a lovely picnic area for schools and groups that wish to bring their own lunch.
Here’s a quick run down of what to expect:
The first part of the tour is a chocolate movie, detailing the history of chocolate throughout the ages. It wouldn’t be a movie without something to munch on, so Butlers of course provide you with some chocolates!
Next we were lead into the museum where we could read and interact with some of the facts we learnt in the movie. There’s even a quiz sheet to test your knowledge. And of course more chocolate!
Afterwards we were brought on a guided tour of the factory, the one and only origin of all Butlers chocolates. We enjoyed a bird’s eye view of chocolate melting, machines packaging more delectable treats and how hands on the factory staff really are!
From kneading out the toffee to distributing to over 40 countries and 60 airports around the world, the Butlers Factory is very impressive.
The most exciting part of our visit was the opportunity to dress up like a chocolatier and decorate our own chocolate souvenir. The inner kid definitely came out as we painted white melted chocolate onto our milk chocolate elephants!
Once you have finished your tour you can sit back, relax and enjoy a hot beverage in the Butlers Chocolate Café, or, how about bringing along your own lunch and sit outside in their newly renovated picnic area with a cold brew from their new Ice,Ice Butlers menu! The perfect end to a fun day!
The Butlers Chocolate Experience is also open during Easter, Halloween and Christmas so book in early to secure your meeting with the Easter Bunny, Butlers friendly ghost and the one and only Santa Claus.
