Set in the heart of Dublin When Poppy Met Daisy is close enough to the River Liffey for a dip and the sewing school offers an array of needle and thread related learning opportunities in an environment that encourages 50’s illusions. Pupils are schooled in sewing machine mastery, burlesque fashion, dressmaking and a myriad of other handy pursuits. Aiming to add ribbons of eccentricity to conventional needlework schools, When Poppy Met Daisy emboldens creativity and innovation. Opting for any sewing or fashion course sees stitch creators learn to master either their own or one of the school’s robotic needle workers.
Choosing instead Burlesque Fashion and Frills, fashion fixers are tutored in the tailoring of burlesque fashions in a boudoir milieu, and can also provide their throats with cocktails and dashings of jolly good fun.
The sewing classes include introduction to sewing, basic alterations, dressmaking, millinery fascinator and corsetry. They also offer classes in styling, photography and fashion illustration.
